History

CDMS began development in 1982.  It was intended to be used by DuPont’s Vanguard Dealers. Allowing DuPont to track the Stainmaster products these customers were selling.  In February 1992, the customers formed a corporation to have better control over the software.  Today, CDMS Inc. owns the  full rights to the CDMS software business, including all rights to the Source code.  Over the software’s 40+ year life span, it has evolved into a very comprehensive software supporting the Flooring Industry. Development is still directed to this day by our customers, some of which are stockholders in the company. These flooring businesses provide the development team with detailed insight into the flooring industry.  Today, CDMS is the only software company that is owned and directed by a group of their customers.  The ownership of CDMS provides us with decades of insight into how to best operate a flooring business.

The CDMS software supports single locations, as well as multiple locations and companies. It has been built over the years to accommodate all types and sizes of dealerships with a strong focus on streamlined procedures reducing repetitive data entry and providing numerous audit trails loved by Accountants.

Mission

Our mission is to provide the best flooring software on the market along with outstanding support. Our motto is Real Support makes the Difference.  CDMS strives to maintain the best computer application support, training and development in the flooring industry. All support and development is performed in-house.  Support is provided by telephone, email, remote training, user group conferences, and software updates. All application training is performed over a recorded Zoom meeting.  A copy of these recordings is shared with the customer for their internal training of staff or review of procedures.

We also believe that there needs to be Freedom to use your Business Data stored in CDMS outside of the CDMS software in order to grow your business. After all, Freedom is POWER.  You can download your data to create custom reporting as requested by various reporting agencies. Face it, every Government agency and Insurance company has different Audit criteria. CDMS gives you the flexibility to export your data into a CSV format where you can sort, and subtotal however you choose. The data can be used to create reports for Sales by Zipcode, State, Product, Category, Salesman, Customer, and so much more for whatever date range you choose.
